What do I do if an emergency occurs on the property?

does the facility have defibrillators?
- Yes! There is one in the Large Hall and one in the Club Room, downstairs, behind the bar.
- In an emergency, Everyone is a member. Come downstairs if you need assistance.
are the defibrillators available to the pulic?
- Yes, however availability is limited.
- Refer to question 4.
When may I use the defibrillators
- The Club is NOT occupied on any regular basis.
- Whenever someone is present at the Club, the defibrillators will be available to anyone who needs them.

Is the club handicap accessible?
- Yes, we have a wheel chair ramp and restrooms to accommodate everyone.
The contract states that I, as the renter, may have to shovel snow?
- As much as our Members try, we cannot always keep the stairways and walkways clear of snow and ice.
- There may be occasions when our renters will need to assist us and their guests with some light duty "exercise".
what if I am physically unable to shovel snow?
- If you are unable to manage moving snow, and you are unable to entrap one of your guests to do so, please contact the Function Manager.

how can i check to see if the date i want is available on my own?
- All our events are discreetly listed on the calendar page.
Whom do I call if I have questions/problems with the facility during my event?
- The Function Manager will leave you numbers to call/text on the day of your event.
As a member, may i rent a hall or the grove for a family member
- Yes! However, you are required to be present and the responsible party for the event.
- It is upon you to enforce all of the rules in the contract.
- You are responsible for all damages incurred by your guests.
who is eligible to rent a hall?
- Our venues are available to the public and Members in good standing.
How much do the Halls cost to rent?
- Each Hall and the Grove have their own rental fees. Refer to the contracts for details.
How many guests do the halls hold?
- The large room has maximum occupancy of 150 persons.
- The small room has a maximum occupancy of 100 persons.
- Rent both rooms for parties with more than 150 guests.
May I bring my own alcohol and mixers?
- State and Local laws prohibit any one from bringing alcohol onto the property, including Members.
May I bring my own soft drinks and water?
- When a bartender is present for the event, we require soft drinks and water to be purchased at the bar.
- If your event does not include a bartender, contact the Function Manager.
How soon will I get my Security Deposit back?
- Security Deposits are usually mailed to you within a couple of days after the party.
How big are the tables?
- Our round tables are 60" (5')
- Seats 8-10 people

Does the club provide table cloths and/or chair covers?
- We do not. It is up to the renter to provide them.
What decorations am I allowed to use?
- We allow table cloths, center pieces, and chair covers.
- Also, easels and freestanding displays
Why can I not put decorations on the walls or ceiling?
- Tape and other sticky substances tend to damage paint when removed.
- Staples and pins leave holes in the wall.
- Confetti leaves a mess that no one can ever completely clean up.
Will there be noise from shooting during my event?
- No! We close the indoor range when events are taking place.
- You can waive the closures if you so choose.
How many events will there be on the day of my event?
- We only rent one hall per day, so one, yours.
What is the Security Fee about?
- In rare cases, we may need to hire people to direct traffic and manage parking.
- This would only be necessary for very large numbers of guests.
what is your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations are accepted any time, including the day of.
- As much advance notice, however, would be greatly appreciated.
- A full refund of monies received will be issued following the notification.
- We do not charge a cancellation fee at this time.
Membership
how do i become a member?
- New candidates require a sponsor from a member in good standing
- Contact the Club via e-mail if you require assistance
- Download and complete the Membership form
- Attend a Board of Directors meeting for an interview
- Submit the form with a check made out to Plaistow Fish and Game Club
- New Membership fee is currently $250.00
- Attend a Member's meeting to be heard and voted upon
- Contact our Membership Chairperson for additional questions
What is the curent membership fee?
- Currently, the fee is $150.00
- $50.00 with 20 hours of Club volunteer hours
- Payable as early as October of the current year
- Due Jan 1 of each year

who is eligible to join the club?
- Any person may apply for membership
- You must be 16 years or older
- You must be of good moral character
- You must be recommended (sponsored) by a member in good standing
what are the types of membership?
- Regular member
- Annual Dues
- Junior member

- Automatically becomes a Regular member on 21st birthday
- Life Member
- Must be 65 years or older
- Must be a member in good standing for the previous five consecutive years
- Must have served as a committee chairman, on the board of directors, or as an officer
- Pays no annual dues
- Paid Life Member
- In accordance with Article XI of the Club By-Laws
- Honorary Member
- Appointed by the Club President
Where do i get a copy of the club by-laws?
- Club By-Laws are available from any Officer and/or member of the Board of Directors.
- New members will receive a copy in their Welcome packet.
when is club dues, due?
- Annual Membership dues must be paid in full by January 1 of each year

what happens if i don't pay by the deadline?
- Late payments put your membership status at risk
- After 30 days, you are considered to be in arrears and your status changed to suspended
- You will be required to re-apply for membership

- Upon being re-accepted as a member, you will be on probation, as any other new member
- You can not run for office or the board of directors
- You can vote for officers, board of directors, and certain articles
- Your consecutive years for Life membership returns to zero
what if i can not afford the upcoming dues?
- Contact the Club President to discuss your options
- Consider volunteering for duties around the Club
- 20 hours a year reduces your renewal by over 30%
- Hours must be verified by a member of the Board of Directors or an Officer
